NYC IN BLOOM
I wanted to pay homage to the vibrant floral life in New York City. In a city as harsh as NYC, softness exists in every corner in the form of fresh flowers. They are symbols of love, beauty, and stillness in the middle of the hustle and bustle. They provide loveliness and nourishment for the soul -- things that are just as important in surviving rough NYC. This could be why they are so prevalent here and will continue to be.
FLORIST ON THE STREET
I was walking along the NYC Flower District and noticed this florist working on some fresh bouquets, right before the Mother’s Day rush. I asked if I could snap a few photos and he said yes! He shared that he also works as a security guard and this is his second job.
